With all three sisters living out of town, little brother was left to "shoulder the load" for Mother's Day. Getting in early, the 'one brother' took Mother for Saturday breakfast at the botanical gardens. Mum enjoyed her poached egg on toast with tomato and mushroom. 'One brother' had a huge serve of bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomato and hash-brown. Happy Mother's Day Mum! We all love you very much xo.

Little Sister

Little Sister (who still likes receiving her sisters' hand-me-downs!) has spent the past 6 years living in a quiet corner of Asia. Whilst her agriculturally-minded husband works in community development, Little Sister is focused on development of another kind; schooling her 3 kids at home by distance education. In the odd moments between teaching, trying to wrap her mind around the local language, hosting visitors and dealing with the 'unexpecteds' of family life in a LDC (least developed country), Little Sister loves to disappear with a cup of tea and a book.

Brother

Brother is the youngest of the four and the only male! He lives in a highly developed but dysfunctional society and is still to meet the neighbours, despite sharing a number of common walls. He spends most of his time travelling to fragile and dysfunctional states run by aging dictators or military regimes. Having been held at gunpoint on two separate occasions may account for his lack of hair! When in one place long enough, Brother enjoys: a long yarn; a good book; listening to music; a glass of red wine; cafe lattes with chocolate spoons; biltong; and copious amounts of spaghetti bolognaise. He is hard to keep track of, and is yet to marry or have children. Thankfully his three sisters have produced enough grand children that not even his mother seems to worry anymore.
